This morning I awoke to a an insistant throbbing in my right ear. More precisely, I beleive I have an infection in some gland or other in my throat that is making my ear hurt as a result. Or, it might be my Eustachian tube, but I didn't think they were that long. Either way, it is painful to swallow or to put pressure on that side of my neck, especially my ear.

I may go to the doc-in-a-box tomorrow morning if this doesn't get better by tomorrow. =/

I had an extreme ear infection when I was around 13 years old, or so. Maybe i should have said severe instead of extreme. Now I have mential images of little bacteria Gen-Xr's skateboarding around my ear canal like it was a half pipe. =/ Anyhow, this severe ear infection was so bad it swelled my ear canals shut and even the barest whisper of a ghostly breeze on my ear would cause me to scream in pain and cry. Well, cry harder. It hurt so bad just left alone on the side of my head as it was. I slept sitting up for aweek, with my hair in pigtails to stop it from brushing my ear.

It ranks as #2 on my Physical Pain-o-Meter. (#1 is a tie between childbirth and kidney stones)

So, today (at least for now) is a relatively short post ... and, of course, an ear joke ... ~.^

Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.

A couple of days later the doctor spoke to Morris and said, "You're really doing great, aren't you?"

Morris replied, "Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.'"

The doctor said, "I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur. Be careful.'"

doc-in-box?

Is that like a medical robot who will scan your ear and perform the needed medical procedure?
